Private Sector

The private sector’s investment in disaster risk reduction offers a triple return by ensuring business continuity, safeguarding long-term investments, and protecting employees, their families, communities and environments.

We work with the private sector on a variety of projects, such as enabling the resilience of the small businesses in their supply chain or investing in business continuity measures for their small business customers. The private sector companies with which we work vary from financial institutions to technology companies.

Current projects include our participation in the National Science Foundation’s Innovation Corps (I-Corps) in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The U.S. Department of Energy selected Prisere LLC for a highly competitive SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) award to undertake research and development for our concept to enhance the climate and disaster resilience of the built environment.

To commercialize this innovation, Prisere LLC has been admitted to the Technology Impact Program of Silicon Valley software company Autodesk. We are currently negotiating a strategic partnership with a large enterprise to enable the disaster resilience of one million U.S. small businesses as a “Milestone Maker” supported by the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center.
