The National Geographic series comes just as Pivot Television is signing off. Pivot, an independent cable television network, aimed to broadcast socially-aware programming to the Millennial generation with an increasing emphasis on climate change issues. Its Angry Planet series followed an adventurous traveler as he visited dangerous areas, such as erupting volcanoes in the Cabo Verde Islands, to show how a changing climate is impacting the earth’s eco-system and causing extreme weather hazards.
